Well, folks. The Republican Party has arrived! They've hit the big time. It was really sad when Gary Hart was pushed out of the race because he was caught on a boat with his arms around two bathing beauties, and it was sad that the Republicans spent millions of dollars and embarrassed themselves when they found that all Bill was guilty of was ruining a dress and being gentleman enough not to kiss and tell.
I'm sure that the Republicans were ashamed to admit that they were resigning over bribery, power-broking, influence-peddling, and just plain ol' every day money and politics crimes, while the Democrats got their names in the news for the animal-house crimes.
The Republicans can now rest easy. They have their sex scandal. And they've got not only Foley to thank for it, but the Republican leaders of the House who found out about it and kept it in the closet. C'mon out guys! You knew it - you heard about Foley's emails and kept quiet to protect him! I know it's election year and you didn't want to hurt his chances, but really! We're talking about the kids here. Remember what Foley said, referring to online predators: "We're going to make your life a living hell." Welcome home, Foley!
