Folklife Festival
I read a lot of interesting articles about the Birthplace of Country Music Alliance's work with the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington DC the last couple of weeks. We had a lot of local people up there performing and sharing our area's music with the world. My son, John, over at thudfactor.com visited the Festival and took a few pictures for me. Check these photos out. Remember: to return to this window, just close the photo window. The Country Music Mural located on State Street in Bristol TN was reproduced on the Mall. Behind the Mural a stage was built, resembling a Pickin' Porch. Here's a view from the Right of the Porch. And here is a view of one of the local groups performing at the Festival. Many thanks to John for his photographic support. Check out his website. He photodocuments his travels. Posted by carlwilliams at July 08, 2003 06:51 PM |
